Pillow Fight At Leeds Festival 2008

Does anyone fancy getting involved in a pillow fight this year at Leeds Festival?

I just stumbled across this rather amusing group on Facebook and thought it was worth shouting out.

Here is the link if you are interested: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=13249763178

In other news, http://leedsfest.org is still down. We are trying to contact the host at the moment but they are not replying. My account was shut down after exceeding the bandwidth on ticket sale day.

Hopefully it will be back up soon. oh! and it will be a relaunch so expect some changes.

Rage Against the Machine Look Likely For Leeds

Rage Against the Machine have been in and out of the headlines this year. Melvin Benn, the official organiser of Leeds Festival has stated that they are his favorite band and would love them to play.

Readers from my other blog, (http://leedsfest.org) have stated that they know staff of Leeds Festival and that these anonymous staff have revealed that Rage Against the Machine are basically confirmed.

Rage would put on a fantastic show and I think Leeds is the perfect environment for them to play. Lets just keep our fingers crossed until Monday and see what happens!

American Guitar bands To Rock out Leeds!

Melvin Benn, the official organiser of Leeds Festival has announced that the three headliners for this years Leeds Festival will all be American Guitar Bands.

From the rumours I have collected it looks as though its going to be The Killers, Rage Against the Machine and Metallica.

Of course though, this is mearly speculation. There is no definitive answer as to who will actually play yet. Other rumoured acts for the headline slots include, Greenday, the offspring, Kings of Leon and Slipknot.

Acts that were rumoured for the headline slots and will definitely now not play include The Verve, Kasabian and The Kooks.

Three Rumoured Bands Look More Likely

Metallica, The Killers and Dizzee Rascal now all look likely to take a slot at this years Leeds Festival.

Metallica recently revealed on their website (http://metallica.com) that they are releasing a new tour date this Monday, the same time as the Leeds Festival line-up is announced.

Dizzee Rascal recently revealed in a youtube video (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nBqp1F7XOWI) that he “should be doing Reading and Leeds” (check it out at 3:55)

The Killers also recently announced that they will be playing in Dublin on the 21st of August. This means that they are in the UK around the time of Leeds Festival, and as they have already been previously rumoured, it makes it a little more likely.

The complete line-up will be announced here and on the official Leeds Festival website (http://leedsfestival.com) on the 31st of March.
